Ground-and-Pound – Taking the opponent down and keeping
them pinned while striking (pounding)
down on them.
Submission Grappling – Grounding the opponent and
locking them up in a submission hold.
Mixing It Up – Using a variety of tactics to systematically

being well-versed in all 3 areas of MMA – stand-up, clinch, and ground.
Run-and-Gun – Scoring points by landing strikes while darting in and out of range
until time runs out and the fight is won on points.
Lay-and-Pray – Keeping the opponent pinned on the ground
while 'praying' time runs
